Donate through justgiving

The Be Number 1 Land's End to John O'Groats bike ride - and run by Kevin Carr and record John O'Groats to Land's End to John O'Groats again attempt by Robin Simpson - has two purposes. One is to take the message of exercise, diet and a healthy lifestyle to schoolchildren along the way, and the second, and equally important purpose is to raise money for the British Heart Foundation - You can donate by clicking on www.justgiving.com/benumber1lejog or via the links on the Be Number 1 website, where there is also news, photos and video clips from the first few of days on the road. Many thanks to all those who have already donated - please pass it on to yourt friends!

Jason Gill on his hand cycle

The journey so far

Spirits remain high along the road from Land's End to John O'Groats. The B#1 team are well on their way to Preston from Shrewsbury on the 4th leg of their adventure.
The gold medal school visits are proving very popular with the children - Teachers, you can get an athlete to visit your school by registering at www.benumber1.co.uk/SCHOOLS.
Sadly, though, it appears that Jason Gill has had to abandon his attempt to break the record for hand cycling the route - the hills come early in the journey and they come hard. . .
